Thurmont approves cable franchise arrangement for new fiber optic internet network | Solutions

Thurmont permitted a cable franchise agreement on Tuesday to deliver the Glo Fiber fiber optic community, run by the telecommunications business Shentel, into the town, supplying people entry to Shentel’s broadband products and services, such as cable, net and mobile phone providers.

Glo Fiber’s guardian corporation Shentel, also identified as the Shenandoah Telecommunications Organization, will set up significant-speed fiber optic cables all over Thurmont as section of the settlement. Design is estimated to start out no earlier than 18 months just after the franchise agreement was approved.
