LA Town Council OKs Funding for Youth Programming and Park Security in CD 14

The Los Angeles City Council Tuesday authorised a motion calling for extra money for youth programming and safety measures at parks in the 14th District.

The council voted 13- to approve the movement with council members Eunisses Hernandez and Heather Hutt absent throughout the vote. The council instructed to suitable $750,000 for the objective of maximizing public safety and participating youth at many parks, such as but not confined to the Evergreen Recreation Middle, Wabash Recreation Middle and Pecan Recreation Centre.

“The modern uptick in violence represents a distinct signal that we have to double our attempts to make investments more in our neighborhoods and our youth,” de León reported in a assertion. “That’s precisely what I intend to do with this funding — grow chances and packages at additional parks for extra youthful persons.”
